Hey, I just finished the loyalty mission of Drack (Mass
Effect: Andromeda). This got me thinking why I love so much video games and one
of the reason is … wait! Let me ask you a question first. Have you ever got so
engaged with a book, that you just can’t stop reading? I know I’ve been guilty
of this a lot. Last time was the Thrawn trilogy by Timothy Zahn. Just loved the
tactics and the great characters with a lot of depth in them.
These imaginary characters and worlds could be so vivid in
your mind. Events are unfolding one step at a time, captivating you more and
more deeply. This is the reason why I love so much the RPG genre. It has the
same story telling part and you are much more engaged with walking in the
footsteps of those heroes. It gives you a way to sink into the atmosphere of
different situations and involves you into a story you could never experience in
real life.
I got carried away, but here is my point. I knew I had to
write a blog post today but I was so entangled in the story that I couldn’t
stop playing. Just to finish one more quest, to see where the story will go … Mass
Effect: Andromeda is still running in the background.
I’m interested what game story have you found most
captivating and difficult to stop playing. Let me know in the comments below.
Keep learning and may the Force be with you!
